Big Game Fishing

Fishing for large specimens, such as swordfish or tuna, is an exhilarating and unforgettable experience. The adrenaline flows constantly as the battle with the fish unfolds, often lasting hours of pure excitement. After capturing one, the urge to repeat the feat becomes almost addictive, and the sense of achievement when landing such a giant is something that will stay with you forever. For this adventure, we use the trolling method, with artificial lures, dead bait, or live bait, depending on the situation.

It’s worth noting that all captured blue or white marlins are released alive, except in rare cases where the specimen could be a potential world record. Our mission is to ensure the preservation of the species while providing a unique fishing experience.

Our fishing day lasts on average 8 hours, starting with departure from the marina and finishing with the return at the end of the day. During this time, clients are offered a light meal and a variety of drinks to ensure their comfort. All fishing equipment needed will be provided onboard, and our crew will be on hand to assist throughout the entire experience, ensuring a complete and enjoyable outing.

Swordfish fishing begins in July and lasts until October, with the possibility of extending or shortening the season depending on sea conditions and fish presence. However, natural variables can influence the season, making each year unique.

Tuna fishing starts in April and can go until November, with fluctuations during the year, as this fish has cycles of presence and absence throughout the season. In years of abundance, tuna can be spotted closer to the coast, making the fishing even more exciting.

The coast of São Miguel is exceptional for large fish fishing. There are specific banks ideal for certain types of fish, such as tuna and swordfish. The fishing location is chosen daily by our skipper, who considers atmospheric conditions and fish movement information to ensure the safety of the crew and maximize the chances of success.

Our priority is to provide an unforgettable and safe fishing experience, always respecting the environment and marine species preservation. Embark on this adventure and challenge yourself to capture one of the biggest specimens of the Azorean seas!
